Six Hockey Nova Scotia High Performance Program graduates invited to Hockey Canada National Team Camps
Six Hockey Nova Scotia High Performance Program graduates have been invited to attend Hockey Canada's National Under 18 and National Under 22 Teams Camp.
Players invited at the Under 18 Level include:
Alexis Crossley, Defense -Dartmouth, NS
Blayre Turnbull, Forward, New Glasgow NS
Players Invited at the Under 22 Level include:
Carmen MacDonald, Goalie- New Glasgow, NS
Jessica Wong, Forward-Baddeck, NS
Jill Saulnier, Forward, Halifax, NS
Brittany Haverstock, Defense-Hammonds Plains, NS
The players were selected to be part of the selection camp based on evaluations done by Hockey Canada regional scouts during the 2009-10 season. These evaluations included performances with Canada's national team, under-18 and under-22 programs and their club teams, along with the National Women's Under-22 Team strength and conditioning camp in May in Calgary, among other criteria
Both the Under 18 and Under 22 camps will take place at the Mastercard Centre in Toronto , Ontario from August 6-15.
